Parent Interviews: Image - Explanation: Tim
Yesterday at parent interviews, me and my mum went into room 5 at around 4:50, and I had to show her around and what is on the walls and the success that room 5 has made, Above is an image of my mum and me, where I am showing her my work and the things I want to show her. On Writing I showed her my 5 minutes of Rangitoto, On my Reading I showed her my Reading Pathway. On My Maths I showed her the blog comparison, that we did this month, and on my inquiry I showed her my Poppies ANZAC poster, which Saruja helped me with. I had to explain to her why I wanted to show her and how I showed her.

Multiplication Challenge: Flash Tables - Day 3: Tim
So I also did another challenge today. This is called flash tables, the point of this game is the little line goes across and you have to memorize it and see if you got the question right. So currently this week I am working on my 7 x tables, which I think I have mastered now.
Multiplication Challenge: Tables Grab - Day 3: Tim and Tiare
Today was a Multiplication Challenge Day. Me and Tiare was racing to find the answer for the equation, and as you can see there is a equation on the top. Me and Tiare came up to 19 x 7, which is impressive.

Current Events #1: Boy Homeless Gives Homeless Man a Blessing - Tim
My current events is about a Young Boy named Josiah Duncan, saw a homeless man, sitting all by him self at a fast Food Restaurant and he asked his mum if he could buy him some food. So he did and the young boy gave the homeless man the food and sang a blessing song which touched everybody's souls and made them cry. I really am proud of him for doing that. He even touched my soul and I was so glad that he did that.

Multiplication Challenge: Day 2 - Tables Conga - Tim
So this is the final activity I did on Day 2 of the Multiplication Challenge. So for the point of this game is you control and conga to go to a seven and then you have to follow it onto other times table so after they be in order and as you can see at the top of the image is a line of seven times tables and that is how the game works.
Multiplication Challenge: Day 2 - Tables Dash - Tim
So this is the second activity that I did on Day 2 of the Multiplication Challenge. So the point of the game is there is a equation in a box and you have to drag it to the answer on the side and you have to try and avoid the lighting or else you have to try again. I think this game was really fun and it really helps me learn my times tables.

So it has been the second day of the Multiplication Challenge. So first I did table legs which is like so it points to a number like 4 and on the top left corner is an eight and which is says what is 4 x 8 which would be 32, so you don't have to type anything the whole point is to memorize and see if you got it right. This is the first Multiplication Challenge I did today.

5 Minutes of Rangitoto - Tim
5 Minutes of Rangitoto
PBS students and Kids Can helpers was ready to start our Rangitoto journey. I could already hear laughter from behind me, I turn around and apparently someone made a funny joke. We walk up and I can see a lot of rocks surrounding the pathways where we walked. There were a lot of birds chirping and a lot of rocks crunching, like I am eating something crunchy. I felt so tired, I was fine for a couple of minutes but now I have become exhausted, I couldn’t believe it wasn’t even 30 minutes and I am already tired. So it has been about at least 20 minutes and Roshni, Saruja and I were still talking.
Kids Can, Students and I have just made it pasted 30 minutes and I felt like the time to take off my school jacket because it was really hot. So we walked up this big hill where everybody is resting on huge rocks. It was a big relief that everybody got a rest, especially me, I was a handful. I could finally catch my breath, because somehow it ran away. After we rested, we continued our walking journey to the top of Rangitoto. I looked around and I could see some Possum and Rats traps which looked very strange because I have never seen those types of traps.
So it has been about 50 minutes and I just felt like I needed a 50 minute break, but I just continued on. I saw this long stick just in front of me while I was walking, I couldn’t pass it up because I needed a walking stick. We almost made it to the top and I turn around and I saw this lifetime view of Auckland. It was about 10 minutes away that I wanted to see the inside of the volcano. I looked inside of it, I was expecting the inside of Rangitoto to be that deep. Well I turn to my left and I see Saruja walk up some stairs. I follow Saruja tracks and I made it up to this resting place exactly on top of Rangitoto. Its such a fantastic view, I just couldn’t take my eyes off it.
7 x Tables: Fast Factors - Tim
So today I played Fast Factors as a Multiplication Challenge. I am currently learning my 7 x tables, Above you can see my Fast Factors result, and I did it in under nearly 30 seconds, which was not what I was hoping for but at least I tried.
So I tried it again and I am pretty proud of my self for doing it at exactly 24 seconds which is very impresive. I am glad I beaten my 29 seconds that I did above.
So I tried the third time and I actually kind of lacked in this one but at least I beat the first one, which is nice but ,my highest score is 24 seconds which is cool.

Blog Post Comparison - Tim
This chart shows how much I posted between 2013 - 2015, In 2013 I had 127, In 2014 I had 80 and this year so far I have 88, so I am hoping to get at least 100 blog posts this year. In my Google draw I explain my improvements between the years, and how I am doing so far this year. I am trying to beat my achievement in 2013 where I got 127 and I want this year to be at least past that number .

Thank You Letter To Mrs Millward - Tim
Dear Mrs Millward,
I very much enjoyed working in your room. It was a great opportunity to show you the work that I can do. My experience in your classroom was very quiet and peaceful.
I really enjoyed the work you have given us. Even though I didn’t go to camp atleast I did some work on the Hunua Falls which I enjoyed doing.
I actually had an image in my head where I was admiring the water that was falling down.
I really liked how you gave us a lot of time to finish our work and present them to you. I met a lot friends which was missing. I had friends like June, Victoria, Abdurahman, and more.
A lot of my friends, have made me come out of my comfort zone. They helped me with my work and also we had a bit of fun.
Thank you for letting me stay in your classroom and I hope I have been a good guest.
Yours Sincerely,
Tim
Saruja, Tiare and Tim - Follow Up Activity: Rangitoto
On Tuesday, the Yr 7-8 went on a little walk up to Rangitoto. This is a follow up activity that Mrs Anderson set for us. We had to answer questions and provide information about a cabbage tree, kowhai, Nikau, Kiwi, Weta, Skink, Gecko, Tui, Kereru and Flax.
Rangitoto Experience - Tim
On Tuesday the 19th of May PBS Yr 7-8's went to Rangitoto. First the Yr-7-8's went into town and hopped off the bus and went to the Ferry Station. We had to wait there for 20 minutes and we hopped onto the ferry headed our way to Rangitoto.
As a result me and Mengchun had sea sick so we had to stand next to the rail and look at the horizon. Mrs Kirkpatrick showed us lots of different places in the horizon.
As we arrived at the harbour we all had go off and run under a roof. We had to sit down and wait for the Kids Can and Mrs Kirkpatrick we're talking to us.
When Mrs Kirkpatrick and Kids Can were finish talking to us we headed on our little hike which took 1 hour.
As we were making our way to the top we saw this amazing view and we just had to take a photo because it was so cool.
This is the inside of the top of Rangitoto it has a lot of rocks down there and it is very deep.
We made it to the top and Mr Johnston and a little chat to us about the war and then he let us eat.
There was this little house at the top, and everyone else was sitting on the window sill even me.
This is the view at the top
After we ate we made our back to our resting place.
When we were at our resting place we took a different direction.
We went into Lava Caves
This is when we into the Lava Caves, but there was no Lava in the caves I think they were before like ages ago.
We went back to our resting place and headed off back to the bottom of the volcano.
After awhile I was hiking by my self.
when we finished and were at the bottom of the volcano we headed back and went back to school.
