My Netbook Reflection By Tim

Pluses

This Year I Found Using My Netbook To Be Successful. I Have Enjoyed Using My Netbook Because... I can make comments to other schools with good things and positive things. Making comments to other students and their blogs makes me a good person because it makes me a good thinker. Commenting to other blogs is fun for me.

Minus
The barriers in using my netbook This year I have a lot of flash problem on my netbook. Sometimes I can’t go on docs so that is a problem. Every time I have a problem I ask the teacher not someone who doesn’t know how to fix it. In class we had a burglary and the thieves stole some netbooks and one of them was mine. So I got a new netbook.

Interesting

I think google docs help me with my work because you can make document and do your work. I can file it under maths, writing, reading or inquiry so Miss Paton can check it. When Miss Paton makes a comment to me about my work Miss Paton would highlight the word or sentence that doesn’t make sense, or the word that is spelled incorrectly. I can go back to it and fix up the mistake. Miss Paton can tell me to put my work that I did on my blog so Miss Paton’s heart won’t be sad.

The Boring Fishing Trip: By Tim

The Boring Fishing Trip
One Morning at 4am a boy named Sam-Lee McCartney was going fishing with his Dad Steve-Lee McCartney. Sam-Lee McCartney lived in a mansion with his Mum, Dad and little brother Gabe. Sam’s best friend Soren Brandenson. They were friends since kindergarten.  They promised the Brandenson Family that they would come over to their house and serve a big Snapper for the  Brandenson Family.  Sam’s Dad woke up and went to Sam’s room and Dad woke Sam up. Sam and Dad got dressed they told their family that they would catch a big fish, so they went off to Countdown and they got some food. They went off to the Marina. The boat was small but they could fit into it. They were so excited.

Sam and Dad were in the middle of the sea. They waited and waited for a long  time but they didn’t get any fish. Sam got hungry, so he told his dad that he was hungry. Dad got some chippies and Coca-Cola. Dad put the Coca-Cola on the tank it was about to fall in the water. Luckily dad caught the Coca-Cola. Then something was on the fishing rod and Dad threw away the bread. It wasn’t a fish, it was a pile of seaweed. Sam and Dad laughed so hard that they were about to explode.

6am
Sam and Dad were so bored they didn’t even catch a fish. It was getting dark and they still didn’t get any fish. They screamed “ Help, Help”. No one responded. Sam and his Dad went back to the marina and they hooked the fishing rod on a chain. They waited and waited, but there was no bite. Sam’s mum Destiny-Lee McCartney  called Sam and his Dad. Sam’s Mum said on the phone “ Where are you guys?”. Dad said “We still haven’t had any bite”. Sam’s Mum said “ That’s sad, I’ll go pick you up”. Dad said “ Wait a minute, I think we got a bite!  I got to go”. Sam said “ We didn’t even get a bite. Dad said “ I know that, but I tricked your Mum”. Sam Said “Dad!”.
Dad said “ I got an idea”. Sam Said “ Oh no, what is your idea?”. Dad said “ We’ll go to Countdown and we will buy a big Snapper and we can tell the Brandenson family and Mum that we actually caught the Snapper.

So Sam and Dad went to Countdown and went to the seafood side. Then they asked the man that they wanted to have a Snapper. The man held up two Snapper’s. Sam and Dad chose the biggest Snapper. When they got the Snapper they put it in the ice and closed it.The Brandenson Family, Mum and Gabe clapped and clapped. Then they all had a big feast at the Brandenson’s Family mansion.

Paint Reflection: By Tim

Art: Reflecting on my Abstract Painting

1. Are you pleased with your abstract painting? why / why not?
Yes I am pleased with my painting because the blue colour matches the sea.

2. What did you find easy when you created your abstract painting?
The part that was easy was painting the square.

3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your abstract painting? -think about painting, ruling it up etc.
The part that was tricky was painting the circle white.

4. Who / What helped you when you were painting?
Miss Paton helped me with my painting.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: colours, painting, ruling of grid, etc.
What I would do differently is paint the square Purple so that it stands out more.

6. What frustrated you when you created your abstract painting?
The thing that was frustrating is the H because I had to touch up the lines carefully so the white didn’t show up.

The Three Little Pigs By Tim

The Three Little Pigs
One day there were three little pigs and their mother. The mother wanted the three little pigs to build houses because they were growing up. So they took off. The first little pig built his house out of straw. After the 1st little pig finished the second pig built his house out of sticks. Finally the third little pig built his house out of bricks. It took along time to build his house. Then the big bad wolf came out of the forest and saw the straw house.  The Big Bad Wolf looked into the window and said in a tiny little voice “ Little pig, little pig can I come in “ and the first little pig said angrily “ No, No, No, I will not let you in.

So the Big Bad Wolf kicked and kicked till the straw house was destroyed. The first little pig ran to the second little pigs house and yelled “ Help, Help, Help! The second little pig said “ Get in, Get in!
The Big Bad Wolf came over to the house made of sticks and looked into the window. He  said
“Little pigs, little pigs let me come in”.
The little pigs said” No, No, No we will not let you in. So the Big Bad Wolf kicked and kicked till the house was destroyed. The first and the second little pigs ran to the third little pigs house and yelled “Help, Help, Help”. Later the Big Bad Wolf came to the third little pigs house and looked into the window.  The Wolf shouted“Little pigs, Little pigs can I come in”
The little pigs said angrily “No, No, No we will not let you in” The Big Bad Wolf growled “Fine I will Kick and kick till the house is destroyed”. So the Big Bad Wolf kicked and kicked, but the house didn’t get destroyed. He was so tired, so he climbed up the chimney.

The three little pigs knew that the Big Bad Wolf was climbing down the chimney. So the three little pigs had an idea. The three little pigs put a big pot of boiling water with carrots, broccoli and cabbage in the boiling water. The Big Bad Wolf didn’t know the big pot with all the vegetables was in the fire place. Finally the big bad wolf fell into the big boiling water, SPLASH! the Big Bad Wolf fell into the boiling water. The three little pigs had the Big Bad Wolf for dinner. The three little pigs lived happily ever after.
