My Special Friend - Tim
My Special friend
What is a special friend? Has this question ever made you think? A special friend is someone that accepts you for who you are not what you are and is always there for you when you need it. My special friend is Susu. She is always made me laugh and we always talk to each other 24/7.
Susu is a loyal friend. She is always responsible for the things she owns and always cleans up the house when her mother is not there. She is really faithful and devoted friend. Susu is a true-hearted friend.
Susu and I always laughed. We always joke around and have fun. We tell jokes at each other but sometimes they are not funny but then it ends up becoming funny. We laugh at our mistakes and sometimes we laugh at other peoples mistakes too. Susu and I always giggled at the little things that happen.
Me and Susu always tell each other secrets. It is like a secret circle but with just only two of us. We talk about mysterious and secretive things. We talk about each other secrets and have a bit of a laugh. Me and Susu are really mysterious sneaky. We don’t like people eavesdropping on our secrets, so we talk quietly and mysteriously. Me and Susu always tell each other secretive things.
We need a special friend because we wouldn’t have anyone to talk to that gets us in our own way. We would become really bored and have no one to talk to. If I didn’t have a special friend like Susu I wouldn’t have to share my secrets with anyone and swim with anyone. This is why Susu is my special friend. She is loyal, kind and caring to one another.
Day/Night Explanation - Tim
Why aren’t stars visible in the daytime?
Not many people know that stars stay in their rightful place in the sky. We can’t see the stars in the daytime because of the glare of sunlight. The blue colour in sunlight is spread across Earth’s atmosphere blocking the vision of the stars. Do you know what a star actually is?
Most star colour relies on it’s temperature. Hotter stars are blue and cooler stars are red. The most massive and hottest stars exhaust their energy supply within a few million years. Tiny, cool red dwarf stars can keep burning for about up to a billion years
It is very clear that stars are twinkling points in the sky which light up our night, but the vision of the stars are blocked by the blue sunlight in the day time. Stars will always be blocked by the blue sunlight and will enlighten in the night time.

So... What is a star? We see stars on most clear nights as tiny, twinkling points in the sky. A star is a bright ball of gas, mostly hydrogen and helium, held together by it’s own gravity. Hydrogen and helium is the most lightest elements in the universe.
First of all according to current star formation theory, stars are born as groups within gigantic gas in on themselves. When the gas reaches up to 10 million, hydrogen nuclei begin to fuse with helium nuclei and the star is born.

Contraction Match - Tim
This is an activity that I played when I was done with my sentence punctuation task. I was practising how to put the contraction with the right name e.g. should not - shouldn't. The things that I did well was knowing my contractions and putting them in the right place. What I still have to work on is knowing my contractions really fast and putting them in order. I had really fun playing this game.

Research about Japan - Tim
This is my Prezi about Japan. I was working with Pah Nwee and we worked great together as partners. We had to find some resources telling us Why Japan came to NZL, What Traditional food from Japan was introduced to NZL and what celebrations does Japan celebrate. We had to present this Prezi in front of the class and Pah Nwee and I was very nervous but we made it and Mrs Anderson was impressed with me and Pah Nwee. I worked hard and believe it or not this was my first prezi that I ever made with and without a partner.

Dear Diary: Wacky Web Tales - Tim
Dear Diary
Dear Diary,
Today was the most boring day at school! Emma didn't speak to me all day. I always forgot my homework for maths class. My new friend Alex isn't talking to me any more. And to top it all off, I forgot my lunch, so I had to borrow money to buy lunch. I hate borrowing money, I hate forgetting my homework, and I hate it when my friends don't talk to me! !! I hope tomorrow is a better day!
Dear Diary,
Everything was much better today. Emma wasn't mad at me; she was just upset because her parents would not let her go to a party. She was positive toward everyone. My maths teacher said she'd only take one point off my homework because this was the only time I'd ever forgotten anything. She said everyone makes dumb mistakes sometimes. My new friend Alex is talking to me. He was just busy helping out a sick friend. He had to gather all of his friend's homework. My friend who loaned me the money for lunch yesterday said I didn't have to pay him back, because I had loaned him money for lunch a while ago. I hope every day is a good as today!

The Tahunas Decisions
Have you ever wondered what the responsibilities of a Tahuna? Well my responsibilities were to make sure that we were heading in the right direction”. I had been memorising the stars and the position of the sun for the past 11 months. I am hoping there are winds that will take us to the new lands. I had to join this voyage because I was the best navigator in the village. I knew I would miss my family and friends but I was looking forward to seeing the new things in the new lands. I was frightened that the waka might sink and I was nervous about how long it might take to get to a land of big mysteries. Everybody on the boat is counting on me for the boat to go in the right direction and I cannot let them down.

Everybody on the boat is counting on me for the boat to go in the right direction and I cannot let them down.
First I had to go through a series of training for instance I had to navigate my way through the forest with Harakeke wrapped around my head. Next I had to move through another 3 series to get to train with my Tahuna and his Tahuna’s. I was feeling pretty sad because I don’t really want to leave my home.
Next we had to set sail, before it got dark, we also had to make sure that all of our supplies (Whakaputanga) were ready. We said our final goodbye early sunday (Ratapu) morning. We went on the waka to seek exciting adventures on the new land. I had to make sure the waka is going the right way because if I mess it up, I will lead the waka into the wrong direction. I cannot let the captain and the other passengers down.
First I had to go through a series of training for instance I had to navigate my way through the forest with Harakeke wrapped around my head.
As I was positioning the sun, I could hear birds and I could see that the ocean colour has changed. I was relieved. I did not let anyone down and I lead the waka in the right direction to a new and better land/village. I am still missing my Whanau back at the old village, but I am really happy that I can live in this beautiful land with the rest of my Whanau.
Throughout the voyage, I felt really delighted that I am living at another land. On the other hand I was really sad that I was leaving, however I was happy that I had some of my Whanau with me.

This is my Fotor for when the senior syndicate went to the Museum on 19 August 2014. I put the most interesting photos in there to make the Fotor pop out more and I also like the border background because it is fern and you can only find fern in New Zealand. If you want to make one go to http://www.fotor.com/mobile/customize/customize_en-us.html and if that doesn't work, download fotor on chrome web store. But you must have permission to go on chrome web store

Space Jump Show ( Storyline's Show) - Tim
Today Room 9 and the rest of the school went to a story line's show and it was about Space Jump. The main characters were Naomi who played Claire and Ty who played Jono. One day Claire and Jono went on a walk, and Claire saw something very strange in the clouds. Claire tried to tell Jono but Jono didn’t believe her. This alien from outer space replaced Claire’s body, then the alien went inside to Claire’s body. The alien went into Claire’s body to seek exciting adventures and search for non-fiction books. Jono, Claire’s friend was seeing that Claire was acting really strange. Jono doesn’t know that an alien has invaded Claire’s body. Alien Claire asked Jono if he could teach her about Imagination and Creativity. Naomi and Tye had to bring up 8 volunteers to help Alien Claire make a sentence with her imagination. Claire finally figured out the sentence it was “My giant eagles were flying above the clouds”. Alien Claire had trouble reading the Three Bears. Jono helped her. Jono needed 4 volunteers and they were Yvette, Sa Hil, Hayley and Ducati. Yvette was Momma Beer, Hayley was Pappa bear, Sa Hil was baby bear and Ducati was goldilocks. They had to act what happened in the book, so Alien Claire could understand what was going on. The whole school had to make some noises for Alien Claire to go back to outer space and ordinary Claire to comeback. Ty had to play the recorder to make a wave sound. Then somehow Alien Claire was moving around the place like she had ants in her pants, then suddenly Alien Claire standed still then ordinary Claire was back. I give this show a 9/10 because I like how it was really funny but I wish they couldn't have used a little bit more props.

Why is Facebook so popular By Tim
Why is Facebook so popular?
Why is facebook so popular today? More than you know about over 2.5 million people have been using facebook for over a decade. In this explanation I am going to be explaining why or how Facebook is so popular today. Facebook is popular because others feel like it is better to communicate or socialize with other people all around the world. It’s a place where you can share what’s happening in your life with just one post.
Facebook is the most accessed site on Google. It is worth over eighty-four billion dollars. There are two hundred and fifty million uploaded photos and 2.7 billion likes every single day on Facebook. The Facebook Company has over three thousand, two hundred workers working at The Facebook Company.
People enjoy Facebook. People log on and look at things that are closely connected to them and their friends. Facebook allows them to know all of this information, it is through peoples statuses, posts, photos, and many other sites that Facebook has.
Facebook is a way of expressing yourself. You can create a whole profile explaining who you are and what you do. You can share information such as relationship status, interests, who you are with at the moment and where you are. There are many different groups that you can join to show people what interests you. All of these different ways of connecting with people make Facebook unique, interesting and fascinating to anyone that goes on it.
This is why Facebook is so popular. Many people can share anything on Facebook. With just one click of send the post goes all around Facebook where people can like, share and comment. This is why the company has a lot of money and workers. Facebook is a way of sharing information to anyone that is on Facebook. This is why Facebook is so interesting and unique.
From this explanation I have learnt to only use Formal Language in formal writing.

Bias Paragraph By Tim
Bias is your opinion on something through your point of view There are two types of bias. There is a subjective opinion, which means that you are using your own prior knowledge to cloud your judgement. And there is Objective opinion, which means you’re looking at things from all sides, not just from your personal point of view. An example of boths sides of bias is the fairy tale Three Little Pigs. My Subjective opinion against the story would be that It was his own choice to climb up the chimney and would be boiled alive. He was stalking us 24/7 and wouldn’t stop, every night we would be worried and start looking the doors and closing everything that doesn’t include open and shut.

The Three Little Pigs 25 Words Summary By Tim
This is mine and Oh S'Mar's Three Little Pigs Work. We wrote a summary from 2 different stories. The story where the Wolf is a bad guy and the other one turns out that the Wolf is not such a bad guy. We had to use different viewpoints about the story and making it into a summary with only 25 words. It was hard for both of us but we got there in the end. Our summaries were the best summaries in Room 9. So me and Oh S'Mar are really proud of ourselves for having the best summaries in the class.
